Get paid to post viral clips: the free guide

Turn streams and videos into short clips, post them, and get paid for the views. Or skip the clipping and make story videos instead. This free guide walks you through every step in Renafy.

1. How the money works

Brands, streamers and podcasts want more people to see their videos, so they pay regular people (clippers) to cut their long videos into short clips and post them on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts or X.

You get paid for how many people watch your clip. Pay is shown as a price per 1,000 views (some people call this CPM). For example, a campaign pays $2 per 1,000 views and your clip gets 50,000 views: 50 × $2 = $100.

Views must be real; bought views get clips rejected. Earnings depend on views, so they're never guaranteed. A new account is fine: TikTok, Reels and Shorts show videos to people who don't follow you, so you can get views from day one.

2. Find a campaign

In Renafy, click Find campaigns in the left menu to see live campaigns paying clippers right now, and filter by platform or topic, like Gaming. Each card shows the rate per 1,000 views, the minimum views a clip must reach before it pays, the most one clip can earn, the budget left (at $0 it stops paying), and the chance a clip pays. An "Apply first" tag means you must be accepted before you post.

For your first one, pick a campaign with a high chance a clip pays, plenty of budget left and no "Apply first" tag, then click Track to save it.

3. Join the campaign

Every campaign you track shows up in My campaigns, best paying first. Each campaign has its own campaign page, and Renafy links you straight to it: that page is where you join, send in your clips and get paid. You may need to make a free account there the first time.

  1. Click the open button on the campaign to open its campaign page.
  2. Make an account and join the campaign. If it says "Apply first", apply and wait to be accepted.
  3. Read the rules: how long clips must be, which hashtags to use, and how to mark the post as an ad (like #ad or #paidpartnership). Clips that break a rule usually get rejected, even with lots of views.
  4. Get the video the campaign lets you clip: copy its link, or download it to upload to Renafy.

4. Make clips with AutoClip

AutoClip watches a long video for you, finds the moments worth posting, and cuts them into clips. Paid plans come with credits every month, and the Summary box shows the cost before you start; nothing is used until you click Find my clips.

  1. Click AutoClip, then Link: paste the YouTube, Twitch or Kick link and click Check link. Downloaded the video instead? Click Upload.
  2. Say what to find, like "the funniest moments" or "every time they talk about money", or tap a suggestion.
  3. Pick 9:16 (the shape TikTok, Reels and Shorts use). 5 or 6 clips is a good start.
  4. Framing: Webcam + gameplay for gaming streams, Follow the speaker for podcasts and IRL streams.
  5. Turn captions on and pick a style. Most people watch with the sound off, and captions cost nothing extra.
  6. Click Find my clips. Long videos take a few minutes, and you can leave the page.
  7. Open each clip to check it, then export and download it.

5. Post your clip and get paid

Before you post, check the clip is the right length for the campaign, the required hashtags are in the caption, it's marked as an ad if the rules say so, and it's on a platform the campaign accepts. The first 2 seconds have to grab people, one moment per clip beats a long one, and posting every day gives you more chances for one to take off.

  1. Post the clip on your own account, on a platform the campaign allows, with the hashtags and ad label the rules ask for.
  2. Copy the link to your post (tap Share, then Copy link).
  3. Send it in on the campaign page, where you joined.
  4. Wait for review: the campaign checks your clip follows the rules, which can take a few days.
  5. Get paid: once your clip passes the minimum views, you earn the campaign's rate for every 1,000 views, up to the max per clip, and cash out from the campaign page.

6. Not into clipping? Make story videos

Story videos don't need anyone else's footage: a story is read out loud over gameplay, with captions on every word. Renafy makes two kinds. Reddit Stories: a Reddit-style post (like "AITA for...") read out loud. iMessage Videos: a text-message chat that pops up one bubble at a time, with a voice for each person.

Pick a story type and a length, type what it's about and click Write a draft (or paste your own), pick a voice, a background video and a caption style, then click Generate video. They get paid through story campaigns (in Find campaigns, the Storytime topic) at a rate per 1,000 views, just like clipping, or through the apps' own creator programs once your account qualifies.

7. Bonus: let Claude do it for you

On the Clipper and Pro plans you can plug Renafy into Claude, the AI assistant at claude.ai, then just ask: "Find me the best clipping campaigns for gaming streams", or "Clip the funniest moments from this stream". Claude always tells you what something costs in credits and asks before using them; you still export your clips on renafy.com.

8. Which plan you need

Try AutoClip free: the Free plan makes 6 clips a month from Twitch and Kick links. To find campaigns, use YouTube links and make story videos without a watermark, pick Starter ($13 a month billed yearly) or above. Clipper ($27) adds face tracking and the Claude connector, and Pro ($55) the most credits. Monthly billing costs a bit more.

Questions

Is the guide free?

Yes. Read it on this page, open the 12-page version above, or download the PDF from there.

Do I need editing skills?

No. AutoClip finds the moments, cuts them to 9:16 and adds captions; you check each clip, export it and post it.

How fast can I get paid?

After you post, the campaign reviews your clip, which can take a few days. Once it passes the view minimum you earn the campaign's rate per 1,000 views, up to its max per clip.
