Posts to a Million Views calculator
Estimate how many posts and how many weeks it takes for your total views to add up to a million, if each post does a bit better than the last.
- Posts needed
- 50
- The first post gets the views above; each next one gets the growth on top of the last.
- Weeks needed
- 10 weeks
- At 5 posts a week, about 2.3 months.
- Views on the last post
- 54,607
How it's worked out
The first post gets the views you enter. Every later post gets that many views plus your growth percentage, so growth compounds: at 5%, post 2 gets 1.05 times post 1, post 3 gets 1.05 times post 2, and so on.
We add up the views of each post until the running total reaches your target, which is how many posts you need. Dividing by your posts per week gives the weeks.
Steady growth on every post is a big assumption. Real views jump around and don't always rise. Try 0% growth for the slow, safe answer, then see how much even a small gain per post shortens the road.
